#44 — AT LAST!

Today we watched the inaugural activities from first thing this morning until even now, after the kids are all home from school. We watch with awe and wonder, with hope for the future and simple happiness that we made this happen!! I tell the kids again and again that they are witnessing history. Skye is wearing her Obama shirt, she wore it to school with the students being primarily Republicans in that affluent neighborhood, I had to smile. Kyra and Josh can blissfully take for granted that we have a President that’s not white… and they are amused at our emotion and happy that we are all so happy with the outcome of this historic election.
